This year, the International Manufacturing Symposium welcomes once again in-person presentations on the academic day (20th September) subject to submission and acceptance of an abstract (up to 250 words). Accepted abstracts will be made available online to the conference delegates as part of the programme. Submission of a full paper is not mandatory. Delegates have the option to submit a short paper of maximum 6 pages for inclusion in the Symposium’s digital proceedings.
Both abstracts and (optionally) full papers must be written in English – the official language of the Symposium. We expect that delegates will submit original research in their abstracts or papers, and that we will not accept work which is already published or under consideration elsewhere. Specifically, we welcome contributions that align with the following research themes: Geopolitical influences on global supply chain reconfigurations; Global Manufacturing and China; Rethinking supply chain resilience in response to multiple disruptions; Transforming supply chains through digital platforms and technologies; Exploring circular supply network transformation strategies.
